Building their nests in the mesquite forests of southern New Mexico, cardinals are a desert-dwelling bird. The Northern Cardinal lives in the upper regions of the state. Their distinctive crests are raised if agitated or curious. Robert Michael Weahkee's antler cardinal has lively red coral eyes and a rich offering necklace from various red beads. A wonderful beak, crest and feathers have been burnished. About 2 1/2" tall, 1 1/4" wide and 1 1/4" deep.
